British Psychodrama Association Conference 2010

Action Speaks Louder ...

Friday 25th - Sunday 27th June 2010

Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester

The title for this conference is Action Speaks Louder...

Psychodrama psychotherapists, sociodramatists and practitioners who use action methods, in different context, believe that:

  • Action does speak louder than words.
  • Action is all about life, from conception to death.
  • Action is more effective in changing beliefs about self, or systems, or in acquiring new skills and gaining understanding.
  • Action can be applied in many different ways and settings.
  • Action makes people really take notice of what is happening, rather than solely listening, and perhaps missing what's going on.

The Royal Agricultural College was established in 1845, in the Cotswold countryside, purpose built to promote the "Advantages of a "Specific Education for Agricultural Pursuits". The College motto is 'Ayorum Cultus Pecorumque', a quote from Virgil's Georgics it means 'Caring for the Fields and the Beasts'. Though much of the College's focus remains on matters' agriculture, it has moved with times and is a beautiful conference venue. Take a look at the stunning Victorian buildings and its glorious setting on http://www.rac.ac.uk.
